The Speaker of the People's Majlis, Abdurrahim Abdullah, has stated that the Parliament is faithfully fulfilling its responsibility to bring positive amendments to bills sent by the government and to facilitate governance. Addressing members during the closing of today's session, the Speaker emphasized that members should be united in their love for equality and support for establishing justice. He noted that the stability of a country is built upon the extent to which justice is established within it, and expressed his belief that it is the most important duty of the people's representatives to work towards facilitating this. The Speaker further elaborated that the meaning of maintaining a People's Majlis is that changes must be made to laws, laws must be amended, and laws must be repealed. He added that, under the newly adopted Constitution, power has been granted to the People's Majlis to discharge this responsibility, and therefore, making changes to laws should not be a cause for concern. He asserted that the responsibility to easily introduce necessary changes to laws according to time, circumstances, and moments has been entrusted to the Majlis, which is faithfully discharging this duty.
