She officially accepted Islam in front of witnesses, facilitated by the Mishka Foundation, an organization dedicated to spreading Islamic knowledge. The woman, previously known as Jasintha Aratchige, has now been renamed Abdulla Adam. The Mishka Foundation stated that Abdulla Adam accepted Islam after months of contemplation and guidance from religious scholars.
