SSTV to Air Special Programs in Honor of National Fishermen’s Day

In celebration of National Fishermen’s Day on December 10, SSTV has announced a lineup of special programs dedicated to honoring the fishing community in the Maldives. The day, which highlights the importance of the fishing industry to the nation, will feature a variety of shows and segments aimed at educating and entertaining viewers. The morning show ‘Sai Gadi’ will kick off the day with a focus on the fishing industry, featuring public opinions and informative content. At 11:00am, ‘Faisalge Tharubiyyathaa Filaavalhu’ will air, showcasing Faisal’s childhood fishing experiences shared with his children. Later, at 14:40pm, ‘Shiyam Kandu Mahah’ will highlight Shiyam’s return to ocean fishing after four decades. The evening current affairs program ‘Baaru Hathareh’ will also be dedicated to Fishermen’s Day, followed by additional programs like ‘M. Maduvvari Haleemge Masverikamuge Viyafaari’ at 22:00pm, which explores the operations of a successful fisheries business, and an exclusive interview with Felivaru Fish Factory’s Regional Manager, Mishal Ahmed, at 22:30pm. SSTV’s commitment to showcasing Maldivian culture and traditions is evident in these programs, which aim to pay tribute to the fishermen who are the backbone of the nation’s economy.
