Sun Siyam Media Launches Fashaaru Whistleblower Portal to Combat Corruption
Politics ·
Sun Siyam Media has unveiled 'Fashaaru,' a whistleblower portal designed to empower the public to report acts of corruption anonymously or by name. Launched on International Anti-Corruption Day, the platform aims to bring transparency and accountability by encouraging citizens to share detailed information and evidence of corrupt practices. The portal ensures anonymity by not storing any data related to whistleblowers and also supports submissions via the Tor network for added security.
Mohamed 'Mondhu' Asif, CEO of Sun Siyam Media, emphasized the organization's commitment to unbiased reporting and public interest. He assured users that all submissions would be handled confidentially and that the portal would aid journalists in their fight against corruption. Ahmed Saail Ali, Managing Editor of Sun Online, added that the platform would help hold wrongdoers accountable.
Corruption remains a significant challenge in the Maldives, with many believing that current measures by the government and the Anti-Corruption Commission are insufficient. Fashaaru seeks to bridge this gap by providing a secure and effective channel for reporting corruption.
