Sun Siyam Resorts named title and platinum sponsor of Veri Expo

Sun Siyam Resorts has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Home Affairs to become the title and platinum sponsor of this year's Veri Expo. The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the Omar Zaher Building by Dr. Abdulla Nazeer, State Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Zulaikha Maniku, Deputy Managing Director of the Sun Siyam Group. Following the signing, Nazeer expressed gratitude for the participation of the Sun Siyam Group as a platinum partner, highlighting that it demonstrates the sincere efforts made by Chairman Ahmed Siyam Mohamed of the Sun Siyam Group towards empowering youth and facilitating employment opportunities. He stated that in the past two or three years, Veri Expo has presented opportunities from higher education, skills, and the largest job providers in the country to youth in one place. "If God wills, looking at last year's success, our target for this year is to demonstrate to 35,000 youth how they can experience these skills and to facilitate approximately 1,500 jobs there," Nazeer noted. Zulaikha said that becoming a platinum partner is an honor and pleasure for the company, and that the decision was taken under the vision led by Siyam to empower Maldivian youth. "The advancement of skilled Maldivian youth in the tourism industry and their rise to prominent positions is always the top priority of our Chairman. Therefore, through this Expo, we will provide information to youth regarding job opportunities and internship programs available within the Sun Siyam Resorts group and other companies," she said. Zulaikha also noted that this year's Expo will be presented under a very distinct concept, with the Sun Siyam Group team working hard for this purpose. She thanked the officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs and assured that the Sun Siyam Group would fully support the construction of a new generation for the tourism sector. This year's Veri Expo will take place from the 26th to the 28th of next month at Hulhumale Central Park.
