Supreme Court Judge Ali Rashid Hussain Granted Retirement with Honor

Supreme Court Judge Ali Rashid Hussain has been granted retirement with honor, effective December 1, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) announced. Judge Ali Rashid submitted his retirement request under Article 27 of the Judges Act and the Judges Retirement Rules. The JSC, after reviewing the required procedures, approved his request during its meeting on October 28. The Commission has also initiated the process to fill the vacant Supreme Court position under Article 17 of the Judges Act.
