Tourism Ministry Surveys Departing Visitors to Enhance Maldives Experience

The Ministry of Tourism and Environment has launched the 'Maldives Visitor Survey' to gather comprehensive feedback from tourists departing the country. The initiative, currently underway at Velana International Airport, will continue through December 15, collecting both demographic information and qualitative insights about travelers' experiences with local tourism services.
Tourism officials emphasized that the survey findings will play a crucial role in developing evidence-based policies. By analyzing visitor responses, the ministry aims to refine tourism strategies and strengthen the Maldives' competitive position in the global tourism market, ensuring the archipelago maintains its status as a premier destination.
The survey launch coincides with unprecedented growth in tourist arrivals. According to administrative data, the Maldives is currently welcoming over 6,000 visitors daily. As of November 29, cumulative arrivals for the year had reached 2,014,358, surpassing the two-million visitor mark and representing a 10 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This record-breaking performance underscores the importance of maintaining high service standards through continuous improvement initiatives like the visitor survey.
