Turkish Airlines Boosts Weekly Maldives Flights to Six to Drive Tourism

Turkish Airlines is expanding its flight operations to the Maldives, increasing weekly services between Istanbul and Malé from four to six during a targeted summer period. The move aims to enhance connectivity and provide more flexible travel options for visitors entering the archipelago. The expanded schedule will be operational from October 13 to October 20. Under the revised timetable, flights from Istanbul to Malé will operate every Wednesday, with return flights from Malé to Istanbul scheduled for every Thursday. According to the airline, flights will depart Istanbul at 20:20, arriving in Malé at 06:30 the following morning. The return journey will depart the capital at 08:00, reaching Istanbul at 14:20. This strategic increase is expected to benefit travelers from European and North American markets. Because Istanbul serves as one of the world's most significant transit hubs, the route provides a vital alternative for passengers navigating current airspace disruptions in the Middle East.
