Two Maldivian Swimmers Depart for Youth Olympics in Senegal

Two Maldivian swimmers, Luuth Mohamed Hussain and Aminath Thazkiya Mirushad, have departed for Senegal to compete in the Youth Olympics. The competition will be held in Dakar from the 31st of this month to the 13th of next month. This marks the first time an Olympic event is being held on the African continent. The Maldives will participate only in swimming. Luuth and Thazkiya qualified for the Youth Olympics by scoring enough points at the Youth Championships held in Romania last year. They will be coached by Ahmed Firaz.
