Veteran Actor and Director Ahmed Nimal Transferred to IGMH Amid Critical Condition

Renowned Maldivian film actor and director Ahmed Nimal has been transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after his condition remained serious following a stroke. Nimal, 62, was initially admitted to ADK Hospital on Wednesday evening and had been receiving intensive care until the transfer. A source close to the family revealed that his condition continues to be critical. Nimal is celebrated for his versatile contributions to the Maldivian film industry, excelling in acting, directing, editing, writing, and producing. He has directed iconic films such as Zalzala, Valoabi Engeynama, and Khalas, and is widely respected for his memorable roles in Veerana, Niuma, Mihashin Furaana Dhaandhen, and Neyngi Yaaru Vakivy. His son, Mohamed Jumayyil, is also a prominent actor in the industry.
