Vice President Urges 8,000 Students to Face O-Level Exams With Confidence

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has called on thousands of students across the Maldives to approach their O-Level examinations with self-belief and a firm determination to excel. The Vice President's message comes as students begin the critical assessment period for both the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the Secondary School Certificate (SSC). In a social media address, the Vice President emphasized that the current examination period is the culmination of extensive preparation. He noted that students are now putting to the test the hard work invested over the previous months, supported by the guidance of their teachers and the encouragement of their parents. He urged candidates to maintain a positive mindset and confidence in their abilities, stressing that mental fortitude is as essential as academic preparation in achieving the best possible results. In addition to academic rigor, the Vice President advised students to seek spiritual strength through frequent prayer, wishing them complete success and a promising future. This year's examination cycle sees a significant turnout, with more than 8,000 students participating from both Malé and the various atolls. To accommodate the scale of the assessments, the government has established 267 examination centers across the archipelago, ensuring students in remote regions have access to standardized testing environments. The O-Level examinations are scheduled to continue until November 12, marking a pivotal milestone in the educational journey of thousands of Maldivian youth as they transition toward higher education and vocational training.
