Visit Maldives and PSM Partner to Digitalize National Creative Archives via Creatoll

World ·
Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) and Public Service Media (PSM) have entered into a strategic partnership to expand the capabilities of Creatoll, the Maldives' emerging digital marketplace for creative content. The agreement, signed by VMC Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree and PSM Managing Director Ahmed Shakeeb, aims to consolidate the nation's visual heritage into a single, accessible digital hub. Under the terms of the collaboration, PSM will integrate its extensive audiovisual archives into the Creatoll platform. As the country's largest repository of historical footage, documentaries, interviews, and cultural recordings, PSM's contribution will significantly broaden the variety of assets available to creators and researchers. This initiative transforms Creatoll into a comprehensive one-stop shop where users can browse and purchase local creative content. By making selected photographs, historical films, and contemporary media available, the platform will bridge the gap between archival preservation and modern digital consumption. Both organizations emphasized that the partnership is designed to provide easier access to authentic content that showcases Maldivian culture, traditions, and heritage. By offering a trusted marketplace for these assets, the collaboration supports the broader goal of promoting the Maldives' unique identity through high-quality, verified visual storytelling. The integration is expected to benefit filmmakers, marketers, and historians who previously faced challenges in sourcing authentic local imagery and footage. By streamlining the acquisition process through Creatoll, VMC and PSM are fostering a more robust ecosystem for the Maldivian creative industry.
