Visit Maldives Signs MoU with Dertour, One of Europe’s Leading Tour Operators

Visit Maldives has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany’s Dertour, one of Europe’s most prominent tour operators. The agreement aims to boost tourist arrivals from the German market. The MoU was signed in Berlin during President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s official visit to Germany. Visit Maldives Corporation CEO Ibrahim Shiuree represented the Maldives, while Yon Krauza, Dertour’s Director for the Indian Ocean and Asia, signed for Dertour. The partnership focuses on joint marketing, promotional campaigns, and trade engagement programmes tailored to German tourists. The agreement also includes plans to organise trade events, sales activations, and share tourism data to enhance planning and promotion. Dertour, which has significant investments in the Maldives, has shown continued confidence in the destination as a top tourism spot.
