WAMCO Announces Reduced Waste Disposal Fees for SMEs Starting February

The Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has revealed plans to reduce waste disposal fees for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) effective February. This decision follows President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's directive to adjust the existing fee bands for SMEs, addressing concerns raised by businesses about the escalating costs of waste disposal. During a recent meeting with SMEs, the President instructed WAMCO to implement changes to alleviate the financial burden on these enterprises. WAMCO is currently finalizing the new fee bands, which are expected to be announced soon. This initiative aims to support SMEs by making waste management more affordable and sustainable.
