WAMCO Dominate City Friends in Straight Sets to Open National Volleyball League Campaign

WAMCO opened their National Volleyball League campaign with a dominant straight-sets victory over City Friends Club on Tuesday. The match, played at the Social Center indoor hall in Malé, saw WAMCO win 18-25, 21-25, and 16-25. The team, which includes several key national team players, controlled the match from start to finish. City Friends, playing their second match of the tournament, showed some resistance in the second set but could not prevent the loss. This defeat puts pressure on City Friends, who had already lost their opening match to Club MTCC. The National Volleyball League continues tonight with a match between Club MTCC and Police Club at 20:30. All matches are being live-streamed on the Sun Play app. Tickets for the matches are MVR 30 at the Social Center and MVR 25 for online viewing via Sun Play.
