Youth Are the Future of the Nation: Minister

The Minister of Education emphasized that the youth of the Maldives are the driving force behind the nation's future. This statement was made during the 'Global Labour Market Conference' held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where representatives from over 200 countries gathered. The Minister highlighted President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's vision of empowering youth through initiatives like 'National Careers Skills' (NCS), which connects job seekers with employers. Additionally, vocational training programs have been launched to equip young individuals with essential skills. The conference, held from January 26th to 27th, aimed to address employment challenges and opportunities globally. The Minister stressed the importance of addressing youth unemployment in the Maldives and preparing them for the job market through targeted policies and training.
