Youth Remanded for Grabbing Police Officer by the Neck

A 27-year-old man from HDh. Nolhivaranfaru has been remanded to 15 days in police custody for allegedly grabbing a police officer by the neck and obstructing duty. The Criminal Court issued the remand order on Sunday after the youth was arrested on suspicion of violence against the officer. According to the court, the youth allegedly threatened police officers during the incident. However, the accused denied the allegations in court, despite having a prior criminal record. The court remanded him to custodial prison for further investigation.
